please help ive got a ????on the cylinders

please help ive got a ????on the cylinders

ive just rebuilt the whole engine and have found some o rings .................please tell me that they dont go on the cylinders and i have to strip it down again ???????????

It depends?
If they are bore sized 'O' rings then they will be for the cylinder sleeves. If you haven't taken them out then I wouldn't bother. I think the manual says if you leave the block standing on the bottom of the sleeves then gravity will push the sleeves out of the block - I have not been able to remove them when using my own non-destructive force and have never gone to the trouble of getting the sleeves pressed out to change the seals.
However, if they are 4 small 'O' rings (around 12-13mm) then yes, they are important. They will be the ones that seal the oil passageways between the crank case and the base of the block - I forgot to put these in myself once!

they are the same size as the bores ??and theres about 12 of them in the pack ihope i dont need them as i never took anything out

No you don't, those large O-rings are for the sleeves. If you didn't push the sleeves out of the block, you don't need them.
