2026 April Fools Ride
1 week 6 days ago
Every Wed and Sat 'Barries Boyz' rides.
Long ride? 300 miles.
Avg ride, about 150.
Avg age, 80+.
The boyz have gone through cancer, death, hanging boots up, lack of desire, moving out of kali for cheaper living.
Yet, some of us keep at it.
I'm fortunate.
So far, can kind of afford it and support multiple bikes in the stable..
..although it IS more difficult these days to turn wrenches, start threads, open clips..
but I digress in on oh wo is me.
Tomorrow I ride the magnificent KZ1300 with carbs that need a new pilot jet, carbs that need a good sync after fixing the bad LHS carb and the rear tire?
Gone.
But it's a little ride, the weather has cooled down, high of 65F expected, so F it.
I'm riding.
What a diatribe from a rider PUI!
Pix to follow for the 10 peeps that will view it.

As one of those ‘ten people’ who will view your ride report, I shall look forward to seeing your pictures. Always enjoyable and entertaining .
When will your 1300 A3 go on its inaugural ride? I’m keen to know how that bike performs.

The 1980... what long strange trip it's been. Been in the shop over one year now. I thought at most, it would be 8 weeks. Turns out the guy I took it to just doesn't like restoring bikes. He'd rather do oil changes and change tires I guess.
Long of short, I pick it up April 10th 2026, done or not.
and now go get some popcorn, it's moooovie time!

I really do enjoy your videos, Don. The on bike views of that twisty road were especially impressive. Nice cafe and surrounding area - I wish I’d been there too!
Looking forward to the next one.
